Privacy Policy for PE Games

This Privacy Policy explains how the PE Games mobile application (“the App,” “we,” “our”) handles information when you use it. We built PE Games to work fully offline, and this policy reflects that design choice.

In short: PE Games does not require an account, does not collect personal information, does not use advertising, and does not sell or share data with third parties. Almost everything the App does happens directly on your device.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

PE Games does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect:

Your name, email address, or contact information
Location data
Photos, contacts, or files from your device
Analytics or usage tracking data
Advertising identifiers

The App does not contain any advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking libraries.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

PE Games stores the following information locally on your device only, using standard on-device storage (SQLite):

The library of PE games and lesson content
Which games you have marked as favorites
The date and time of your last content sync

This information stays on your device. We do not have access to it, and it is not transmitted to us or to any third party. If you uninstall the App, this data is deleted along with it.

3. Content Sync (Optional, When Online)

When your device has an internet connection, the App may contact our server to check for new or updated games and download them for offline use. This connection:

Only downloads publicly available game/lesson content — it does not upload any personal data from your device
Does not require or transmit your name, email, or any identifying information
Fails silently if there is no connection, and the App continues to function normally using previously saved content

4. Printable Cue Cards and QR Codes

The App can generate printable PDF “cue cards” for individual games, which may include a QR code linking to a publicly available demo video hosted online. Generating and sharing these PDFs uses your device’s standard share/print functionality; we do not track when or how you use this feature.

5. Permissions Used

The App requests the following Android permissions:

Internet access — used only to check for new game content when available
Network state — used only to check whether a connection exists before attempting to sync, so the App can fail gracefully offline

No other device permissions (camera, contacts, location, microphone, storage beyond the App’s own data, etc.) are requested or used.

6. Children’s Privacy

PE Games is designed for use by physical education teachers and educators, not directly by children. The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it, though by design the App has no mechanism for collecting such information in the first place.

7. Data Security

Because the App does not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal risk associated with data handling. Content stored locally on your device is protected by your device’s own operating system security features.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features that change how the App handles data. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
